Expressions of Interest

South Coast Arts is seeking Expressions of Interest from Cultural Planning Consultants, and Community Consultation Facilitators for the development of our three year Strategic Plan.

About Us

South Coast Arts (SCA) is a newly formed regional arts organisation funded by Create NSW and our local Councils of Shoalhaven, Kiama and Shellharbour. We provide practical services and opportunities to support creative communities through;

• resources and advice on funding
• encouraging participation in arts and culture
• initiating and developing programs with partners
• facilitating projects that support artists
• creating social connectedness and wellbeing

By respecting First Nations cultural foundations, encouraging grassroots participation, supporting professional development and innovative practices and growing audience engagement, we aim to celebrate and amplify the creative voices and identity of our region.

Scope

In 2023 we are seeking to develop our first Strategic Plan for implementation across 2023-26. We see the South Coast Arts Strategic Plan as setting a visionary, dynamic agenda for regional cultural development over the next three years.

We will be undertaking consultations across a range of stakeholders and require support in connecting appropriately and effectively with each of these groups.

Our stakeholder groups are:

• South Coast Arts Board and Staff
• Regional Planning Organisations and Funding Bodies
• First Nations Artists and Community
• Regional Arts Bodies and Creative Industries
• Individual Artists and Creatives

Each stakeholder group will require a differing approach and degree of expertise.

The consultation period will take place from July to October 2023 and will cover the NSW South Coast local government areas of:

• Shellharbour
• Kiama, and
• Shoalhaven

All stakeholder group activities will be made accessible for people with disabilities and people from cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds to attend.
