Culture Bank is a grassroots community-sponsored microgrants platform that works through a membership funding and decision-making model.

The Model:

• Community members sign up as monthly subscribers/donors (typically contributing $10+ per month)
• When the funding pool reaches a set limit, applications are called for from creative practitioners with project ideas
• Subscribers are then invited to a community dinner where they collectively decide which projects receive funding
• All contributions are tax deductible

What It Supports:

Culture Bank funds diverse cultural arts projects including exhibitions, concerts, talks, films, performances, cabaret, theatre, comedy, poetry, creative workshops, and many other community cultural initiatives.
